WYD mural in Bragança-Miranda made with household appliances
On Saturday, the 15th of July, the Diocesan Organizing Committee (COD) of Bragança-Miranda built a mural to mark the presence of Pilgrims in the Days in the Dioceses (DND), the week preceding World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023.
The young people of the Diocese built the mural alluding to WYD Lisbon 2023, bearing in mind the ecological values and proposals of Pope Francis, in particular care for the Common Home, and the preparation of WYD Lisbon 2023. The mural will be installed on the stairs of the Cathedral of Bragança.

In order to fulfill the commitment of WYD Lisbon 2023 to sustainability, materials that would not have another use were used in the construction of the mural, more specifically household appliances that were donated for this project.
"The mural consists in converting 'domestic monsters' into a community that welcomes and walks", said Sr. Conceição Borges.

The initiative took place at the premises of the Santa Clara school and was guided by Manuel Trovisco, a visual arts teacher from the Emídio Garcia School Group and carried out by WYD Lisbon 2023 volunteers.
