Viana do Castelo gathers Pilgrims in Paredes de Coura
On July 8th, the Diocese of Viana do Castelo held a meeting for the Pilgrims of the Diocese. On a day full of faith and joy, the young people of Viana do Castelo had the opportunity to get to know each other and prepare for their participation in the World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023.
The third meeting of the diocese began on Saturday morning at Praia Fluvial do Taboão, in the Archpriesthood of Paredes de Coura, and lasted until the end of the day. The afternoon was reserved for information about the week of WYD Lisbon 2023, and the meeting ended with a performance by Pacheco and Jacinto, from the group Kalhambeke.
According to Fr Domingues Meira, the aim of these meetings is to "prepare as a macro group of the diocese" for participation in WYD Lisbon 2023. The young pilgrim Sofia Martins also said that this is a good opportunity to "meet people from other parishes".
