City of Joy
The City of Joy is a place of encounter with Jesus where pilgrims will find different experiences of Christian living and joy. They will be provoked to look at their own lives and discover a path as a response to God who calls each of us by our own name. Passing through the City of Joy means encountering a living God who invites us to experience his forgiveness and mercy and to give our lives generously in response to his designs of Love.

What will you find in the City of Joy?
"City of Joy" is the name of the space that will join the Vocational Fair, the Chapel and the Reconciliation Park at World Youth Day Lisbon 2023:
- Vocational Fair – space where young pilgrims can encounter various movements, associations, communities, religious orders and projects of social nature.
- Chapel - a space of silence and intimacy with God.
- Reconciliation Park – a space where pilgrims can make an encounter with the Merciful Christ through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The whole city is prepared to receive pilgrims with reduced mobility, having access walkways for them to the different places, we also have a tactile plan for the blind to see how the city is distributed at its main entrance.
