"Rally of Archdeaconries" in the Diocese of Aveiro
On the third day of "Days in the Diocese" (DND), July 28, various parishes of the Diocese of Aveiro gathered for the so-called "Rally of Archdeaconries". In less than 24 hours, Bishop António Moiteiro of Aveiro visited the nine archdeaconries to meet the volunteers and pilgrims from different parts of the world and express his gratitude for their availability and work.
The "Rally of Archdeaconries" started at Costa Nova Beach, where pilgrims from different nationalities participated in organized activities. In the city of Aveiro, the Bishop of the Diocese of Aveiro met the large community of young people gathered to welcome him.
In Estarreja-Murtosa, the day was dedicated to the arts. Besides the pilgrims, Bishop António Moiteiro also contributed to the painting of a tile that, in the end, became part of a joint artwork that will be preserved for future memory.
Albergaria also had the presence of the Bishop of Aveiro, who expressed his desire for Jesus Christ to be known and loved and his hope that young people can build a "young Church, all together."
After visiting Águeda and Anadia, Bishop António Moiteiro joined the celebration in Oliveira do Bairro. Here, the young people enjoyed a folk dance performance and traditional dances in which everyone participated.
The day ended with a visit to Vagos, where Bishop António Moiteiro emphasized that "this is a meeting of evangelization of young people for young people in communion with host families."
