Parish Volunteer Packages
Parish Volunteer applications must be submitted to parishes by June 30, 2023.
Registrations as a parish volunteer (in the Dioceses of Lisbon, Santarém and Setúbal) at WYD Lisbon 2023 are now open and will remain open until we have the necessary volunteers. This registration is made in each respective Parish, contacting those responsible for the WYD Lisbon 2023 volunteering, in that parish.

Participation contribution
The WYD is built with everyone’s generosity! All volunteers are therefore asked to make a contribution, depending on the package they choose, covering part of the costs involved in its management. Registration as a volunteer is only confirmed after payment of this contribution. In the case of parish volunteers, payment is made through the parish.
Unique PACKAGE for parish volunteers (V3): includes transport, insurance and volunteer kit and covers the period from July 23rd to August 7th - 30€
The night from the 5th to the 6th of August will be spent outdoors, at the location of the Vigil and Missioning Mass of the WYD Lisbon 2023. All volunteers must therefore bring the necessary material to sleep (sleeping bag, etc).
All registered volunteers/leaders will be guaranteed food for the night of August 5th and breakfast on the 6th, as they will all be at Parque Tejo for the final events of WYD Lisbon 2023.
Transport
This option
includes a transport ticket to be used in the trips necessary to carry
out the activities that each volunteer will perform.
Insurance
All volunteers will be covered by personal accident insurance during the time from July 23rd to August 7th, 2023.
Volunteer’s Kit
The
registration of all volunteers also includes the delivery of the
volunteer’s kit: a WYD backpack with official WYD Lisbon 2023 products.
This kit will be delivered to the volunteer at the time of check-in.
The
volunteers’ t-shirts will be the main identifier of the volunteers so
that the pilgrims know who they are. The t-shirt must only be used if
the volunteer is working. Whenever you are not working as a volunteer,
you should not wear the t-shirt.
There will also be other forms of identification for each volunteer – the credentials that will be handed over at check-in.
