Youth Festival from 1 to 6 August
The Youth Festival will take place from 1 to 6 August in more than 100 venues throughout the city of Lisbon. More than 480 events will take place, with 55 participating countries.
This is an initiative that is part of the history of World Youth Day (WYD) and consists of a set of cultural, religious and sports events, performed by WYD pilgrims, sharing their creativity and generosity with young people from around the world.
There will be 290 concerts, 55 religious events, 38 conferences, six dance groups, ten plays, ten exhibitions and 15 films. In addition, there will also be space for sports, with JMJ Sports.
The Youth Festival is an opportunity for young people to come together in an atmosphere of joy, promoting universality and sharing. It is also intended to be an experience of Faith, showing that the Catholic Church is a living and young Church, which uses forms of art and languages close to young people.
This will be an initiative open to all, even if they are not registered for WYD Lisbon 2023, and admission will be free. Learn more here.
