Today, June 22, Pope Francis received a Pilgrim Kit for World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023. The kit was delivered by Archbishop Américo Aguiar, President of the WYD Lisbon 2023 Foundation, who is in Rome for an audience with the Holy Father in Vatican City.

The Holy Father, who was the first pilgrim to register for WYD Lisbon 2023, was also the first to receive a backpack with the basic items that will be given to pilgrims who are registered for the largest gathering of young people from around the world with the Pope.

The items that are included in the WYD Lisbon 2023 Pilgrim Kit will soon be made public, and the kits will begin to be prepared for delivery to the thousands of pilgrims preparing to come to Lisbon.
