Pope Francis administers the sacrament of confession to three young participants of WYD Lisbon 2023
The Holy Father hears the confession of three young people at the Reconciliation Park.
On the morning of Friday, August 4th, Pope Francis was at the Forgiveness Park as part of the program of World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023, where he heard the confession of three young individuals. The youths were of Spanish, Italian, and Guatemalan nationality.

A crowd of young people, who gathered at the site to witness the moment, sang, 'This is the Pope's youth.'"
The confessionals were built by inmates from the prisons in Coimbra, Paços de Ferreira, and Porto. Volunteers who took part in the construction and organization of the confessionals share the emotion of seeing Pope Francis up close and feel grateful for being able to contribute to making this moment happen.
Shortly after, Pope Francis departed to meet with representatives from certain social and charitable assistance centers.at the Serafina Parish Center.
