Monsignor Ravelli, Master of the Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations, visited today, June 14, the headquarters of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023, in preparation for the largest gathering of young people from around the world with the Pope.

48 days before WYD Lisbon 2023, Bishop Ravelli was welcomed by Bishop Américo Aguiar, President of the WYD Lisbon 2023 Foundation, who thanked him for his collaboration in such a sensitive area of WYD as ensuring the "balance of liturgical issues".

The visit began with the unveiling of a plaque commemorating this moment, which preceded the celebration of the Eucharist. During the homily, Monsignor recalled that the law of Jesus is demanding and that we must accept it completely and with a sense of commitment in order to be joyful. He also stressed that we must leave our comfort zone, as Jesus asks us, "to follow him, so that by experiencing his blessedness we may find complete joy of living in our hearts".
