On April 12, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023 received at its headquarters Bishop Erik Varden, who is currently Bishop of Trondheim, Norway.

During the visit, D. Erik Varden was able to meet each department of WYD Lisbon 2023 as well as all those who work and collaborate daily in the preparation of the largest gathering of young people from around the world with the Pope.

At noon, he joined the usual prayer moment of all members of the LOC, praying the Regina Caeli. After the prayer moment, the Bishop of Trondheim had the opportunity to speak to the team that prepares WYD Lisbon 2023 about the importance of prayer and team spirit in this path to August.

Regarding WYD Lisbon 2023, D. Erik Varden revealed that this is a "very important" moment for young Catholic Norwegians. He also mentioned that Norwegian youth "are very committed and are preparing a group for what will be the event of the year for them." In addition to participating in the week of WYD Lisbon 2023, there are many Norwegian young people who will also participate in the Days in the Dioceses, between July 26 and 31.

After this conversation, the Bishop of Norway also celebrated the usual mass at the Local Organizing Committee headquarters, in the late morning.
