Registration for the Youth Festival
All applications must be submitted using the form available online, on the official registration platform – access here. The team of the Youth Festival from the Local Organizing Committee will review all projects and will be responsible for the selection and programming of the Festival.
The first phase of applications for the Youth Festival ended on February 5th. All the applications received after this date will be analised according to the existing availability of venues and schedule.
Conditions of participation
- Top priority will be given to artistic applications submitted by pilgrims registered in WYD
- Applications must be accompanied by a Letter of Recommendation from the Diocesan Church, Movement or Congregation associated with the origin of the candidates
- In cases where the pilgrims choose a type of registration without meals, accommodation and transport, these are their responsibility
- Applications from groups or artists not registered as pilgrims in WYD will not be entitled to insurance, food, accommodation and transport
- The production of the shows/events and the associated costs, including travel, equipment, and their transport and insurance, will be responsibility of the candidates, except for some exception to be evaluated by the Youth Festival
- WYD Lisbon 2023, whenever possible, will provide the space, structures and basic technical equipment for the events
- No remuneration will be paid in exchange for performing at the Youth Festival
Selection criteria
- Preference given to pilgrims/artist of the recommended age group for participation in WYD Lisbon 2023
- Transmissions of Christian values and language, consistent with the Catholic Church
- Adaptation to the theme and theological foundation of WYD Lisbon 2023
- Artistic quality
- Diversity, originality, and attractiveness
- Technical and financial autonomy
